Carbon dioxide CO2

Stable CO2 extinguishers are fire extinguishers for three-dimensional CO2 gas extinguishing. CO2 is supplied to the fire site via the installed nozzles in the room or above the building. The room creates a spatial concentration of CO2 gas, and when this concentration is sufficient to reduce the amount of oxygen in the air, to an amount less than that required for the combustion process, the fire is extinguished.

In the case of CO2 systems, it is necessary to pay attention to the significant increase in the pressure in the enclosure, because of that the installation of pressure relief devices (overpressure valves), which have the role to open as necessary and thus prevent damage to the enclosure.
